SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 – Fields of Freedom Alliance today applauded the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) new trade mission aimed at dramatically increasing American ethanol exports to the United Kingdom. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Luke Lindberg are leading the first Trade Reciprocity for U.S. Manufacturers and Producers (T.R.U.M.P) Mission.

Secretary Rollins’ goals of the Mission include supplying more U.S. ethanol to U.K. consumers, supporting the U.K.’s move from E10 to E15 fuel, and opening new opportunities for sustainable fuels. Specifically, Secretary Rollins’ plan calls for a major increase of 677 million additional liters (179 million gallons) of U.S. ethanol to be sold to the U.K. in 2025, with a target of 1.4 billion liters (370 million gallons) in 2026.

“American farmers are ready to meet the moment,” said Eric Branstad Fields of Freedom Alliance. “Expanding ethanol exports helps support American family farms while giving U.K. consumers affordable, cleaner fuel.”

United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom Warren Stephens said on X, “Thanks to @POTUS, U.S. ethanol exports are rising for U.S. farmers and bringing affordable American energy to the UK. Great to welcome @SecRollins back to the UK and join her in a meeting with U.S. industry leaders on the opportunities for U.S. ethanol, and the next steps to implement the historic U.S.–UK economic prosperity deal.”

The U.S. officials advocated in London that increased consumption of American ethanol could effectively help the United Kingdom meet its energy security and emissions goals. In 2024, the U.S. sent approximately 244 million gallons of ethanol to the U.K., making it one of America’s top export destinations.
