(MARCH 27, 2026) – During his remarks at the White House Friday President Donald Trump announced finalization of the highest renewable volume obligations (RVOs) since the inception of the Renewable Fuels Standard. This, combined with the recent E15 emergency waiver will provide significant cost savings to consumers at the pump.
The President went further to support America’s farmers by calling on Congress to send a bill to his desk to allow nationwide, year-round E15.
“Just as I promised in the campaign, I’m seeking congressional action to allow E15 all year round,” said President Trump. “I’m trusting Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune, two good men, I’m trusting them to find a deal that works for farmers, consumers and refiners, including small and mid-size refiners. They’re going to send me a bill, and we should be able to get that done.”
In front of an enthusiastic crowd of hundreds of farmers on the South Lawn, President Trump reaffirmed his support for rural America. A shift to nationwide E15 would increase corn demand for America’s farmers by approximately 2.5 billion bushels per year, injecting billions of dollars into the ag economy.
“We’ve got a fighter for the American farmer in the White House,” said Eric Branstad of Fields of Freedom Alliance. “E15 is the cornerstone of an America First energy policy. Now we need Congress to finish the job and make its availability permanent.”
